A crushed rose bisque silk velvet — deep and warm, sitting between brick-red and dusty rose, shifting in depth as the pile moves in the light — finished on all four sides with a warm amber- gold fringe. The fringe is brighter and more golden than the velvet, the contrast between the two colours substantial and deliberate. Together they have the quality of something old and well-chosen.
Designed in Germany and made by hand in India, with fabric dyed to Anke Drechsel's own colour specifications.
