The Stadium Pepper Mill in ash is hand-turned in Auckland by Woo-Lam (Sam) Choi of Walk in the Park. Its form is quietly architectural — a fluted ash cylinder set above a smooth iroko base, the two woods meeting in a contrast of pale grain and warm dark tone. Each piece is turned individually, and the natural variations in grain, figure, and colour are part of what makes it singular.
The mill is fitted with a Crushgrind ceramic mechanism, adjustable from fine to coarse via the button at the base. It can be filled through the removable lid or base, and works equally well with pepper, salt, spices, or dried herbs. Natural marks or small openings in the wood are not flaws — they are evidence of the material's life before the lathe.
