ABOUT the MAKER
A'court
Rebecca Taylor built and ran her own eponymous global fashion brand for years before stepping away in 2019. She returned home to New Zealand in 2020 and founded A'Court, named for her own middle and family name, as an answer to the fast-fashion cycle she'd spent a career inside. The label operates out of New York's historic garment district, working in small quantities with organic textiles sourced from mills in Italy and Japan. Taylor's design language pairs the structure of classic menswear tailoring with softer, Victorian-inspired detail: pintucks, pleats, custom embroidery. Shirting and blouses sit at the centre of the collection, alongside everyday trousers and dresses built to be worn often and well.
