A finely modelled bust rises from the centre of this candle lid, hair swept up and face turned slightly to one side. The Marie Antoinette Candle Top is shaped to sit over an Astier de Villatte glass candle, its wide base gently sloped to meet the jar beneath.
Left in place, the lid holds the fragrance in and keeps dust off the wax between lightings. Once the candle has burned through, the bust remains as a small piece on its own.
