Necklaces by Charlotte Penman and Louise Douglas — pendants, chains, and charms made by hand in New Zealand from sterling silver, solid gold, and freshwater pearl.

Charlotte's necklaces carry their references clearly: a ginkgo leaf in 9k solid gold on a fine 14k chain, a sacred heart with hand-carved detail, a tiny Corazón heart worn close to the collarbone. Louise works from her Nelson studio, casting directly from nature — a honey bee in oxidised sterling silver with a freshwater pearl body, a skimming stone, a touchstone — each piece tied to a place or a memory.
