The Little Violet Vinca is a hand-painted copper flower sculpture that captures the delicate, star-like form of this understated bloom in a refined, smaller scale. Each petal is carefully shaped and painted by hand in the Milan atelier of Elisabetta and Carolina Sonzini, where traditional craftsmanship is expressed through a considered botanical lens.
Created using tôle peinte, an 18th-century French technique of painting on metal, the piece reveals subtle depth and tonal variation through its hand-applied finish. The soft violet tones and open form bring a sense of lightness and quiet balance to the composition.
