The Lilac Hollyhock Branch is a hand-painted copper flower sculpture that captures the vertical rhythm and delicate layering of this garden bloom. Each element is carefully shaped and painted by hand in the Milan atelier of Elisabetta and Carolina Sonzini, where traditional craftsmanship is expressed through a refined botanical lens.
Created using tôle peinte, an 18th-century French technique of painting on metal, the piece reveals subtle depth and tonal variation through its hand-applied finish. The branching form introduces height and structure, with softly coloured blossoms unfolding along the stem to create a sense of movement and balance.
Mounted on a simple black wooden base, the Lilac Hollyhock Branch is designed as a sculptural object — bringing scale and presence to a console, mantel, or interior setting. A lasting bloom, it reflects a thoughtful approach to material and craftsmanship.
