The Fritillaris is a hand-painted copper flower sculpture that captures the distinctive, nodding form of this elegant bloom. Each petal is carefully shaped and painted by hand in the Milan atelier of Elisabetta and Carolina Sonzini, where traditional craftsmanship is expressed through a refined botanical lens.
Created using tôle peinte, an 18th-century French technique of painting on metal, the piece reveals subtle depth and tonal variation through its hand-applied finish. The softly curved, downward-facing petals bring a sense of movement and quiet asymmetry, balanced by a considered structure.
Mounted on a simple black wooden base, the Fritillaris is designed as a sculptural object — bringing a distinctive presence to a console, mantel, or interior setting. A lasting bloom, it reflects a thoughtful approach to material and craftsmanship.
