A hand-crocheted raffia basket with a scatter of appliquéd flowers across one face — large padded blooms in natural linen and cream, yellow, and sage, their petals quilted with embroidered thread, alongside smaller velvet flowers in grey, mustard, and brown, and embroidered stems worked directly into the raffia ground. Because every piece is made individually, the arrangement and colourway of the flowers shifts from one basket to the next.

Crocheted and appliquéd entirely by hand in Madagascar by the artisans Sophie Digard has long collaborated with, the basket combines a crocheted raffia body with fabric flowers formed, padded, and applied individually. The reverse is plain crocheted raffia. No two are identical.

Short handles sit close to the body, giving the basket a considered, structured silhouette — wide enough to carry generously, upright enough to carry well.
