The jewellery carried at Tessuti is made by hand, in New Zealand, by two makers with distinct and considered bodies of work.
Charlotte Penman draws on ancient adornment, 20th-century design icons, and the natural world — working in sterling silver, solid gold, and carefully sourced gemstones to make pieces that carry history and intention. Louise Douglas casts directly from nature in her Nelson studio — seashells, leaves, found objects — finishing each piece in oxidised sterling silver, solid gold, and freshwater pearl.
Different worlds, the same sensibility: jewellery made to be worn, kept, and worn again.
