DESCRIPTION

Belleme IV Haute Cushion, curated by former Oscar de la Renta creative director, Peter Copping.

The fourth edition of the Belleme Cushion combines a toile de Nantes from Lewis & Wood fabrics, wool crewel work embroidery, white-glass beading & a reverse side in Indian block print.

La Carlière is the 15-century chateaux in Normandy Peter shares with his husband, Rambert Rigaud, which inspires their collection of haute cushions & textiles.

Dimensions: 60 x 80cm.

Fabric: 100% Cotton. Made in Normandy, France.

Comes with a calico dust-bag.

DETAILS

  • The contemporary base fabric is made to resemble an 18th century indigo printed quilt. It has been purposely woven to appear quilted and faded with the patina of time, two different colour-ways have been patch-worked together.
  • Some squares have been embroidered with crewel-work in contrasting colours, inspired by Elizabethan embroidery, the same period when La Carlière was built.
  • On the reverse side, a graphic block print has been used in coordinating colours.
