The Enny Cushion in Orchid covers a pale blush silk velvet ground with a spreading leaf motif worked entirely in gold metallic thread. Each leaf is rendered in dense, directional satin stitch, the embroidery arranged in radiating clusters that move freely across the face of the cushion. Lifted against the soft pink ground, the gold is bright and warm, catching light with every shift in angle. The velvet itself is lightly crushed, giving the surface a quiet depth between the densely worked clusters.
Designed in Germany and made by hand in India, each Enny Cushion is embroidered on the frame, piece by piece, with fabric dyed to Drechsel's own colour specifications.
