The Sona Elephant Small in Blue carries the same amber-gold chenille embroidery as its larger companion — rounded flowers with raised, looped centres scattered across pale blue silk velvet, connected by fine trailing stems with blush pink and soft blue accents. At this scale, the flowers read with more presence, the chenille texture more immediate. The ear carries its own statement motif: a large central cluster with radiating petal tips in the same warm gold. The tail ends in a small gold tassel.
Designed in Germany and made by hand in India, each Sona Elephant is embroidered on the frame, piece by piece, with fabric dyed to Drechsel's own colour specifications. The two sizes work together on a shelf — but each stands on its own.
