The Dotty Frog in Shaded Mint works in near-tones — chenille dots in pale icy blue scattered across shaded olive-gold silk velvet, each one looped and slightly raised against the surface. The effect is quieter than it first appears: less contrast, more texture, the kind of thing that becomes more interesting the longer you look at it. The dots continue across the legs and onto the feet, unhurried and even throughout.
Designed in Germany and made by hand in India, each Dotty Frog is embroidered on the frame, piece by piece, with fabric dyed to Drechsel's own colour specifications. The Shaded Mint colourway — olive, gold and cool blue — sits at the calmer end of the Dotty Frog range.
